.Now and then, when the sun's at your back and the wind's in your hair you can hear reflections of the years behind you. You can hear yourself breathing hard as you round the dirt spots you called base in a great game of kickball. You can hear the Hyour itn sounds of a recess tag game. You can hear yourself and friends giggling, peanut butter jars in hand, waiting to prey on the lightening bugs that would later drive your mom crazy. You can hear the sounds of brothers and sisters. Hwbuld you help me with my homework?u nNot now, I haven't got time.n You can hear the sounds of parents. UWhere'd you go nOut.H' nwhat did you do?n HOh, nothing much, just rode around - gotta coke.U You'll always have reflections of little things that will always mean a lot After the rain you'd dart out the door, headed for the mud puddles. You'd make chains out of clover. You'd count your special blessings: pajamas with feet, staying late, and grandparents that spoiled you rotten. Your life was full of little things. Even high school holds reflections that will always mean a lot. For instance, the friends you'll always have, and the life--. and - death secrets that I you shared along with the mischief: your first blue-n-gold uniform: cheering for a hard working basketball team that didn't always have a winning record: that awful gov- ernment that had to be done to graduate: all the foot- ball and basketball games that you felt a part off class to enjoy a free hour, yet all the while scared sick of getting caught: watching your team cut the nets after winning the Four-Team tourney, and holding back the tears, honking your horn at a baseball game because the Eagles just hit a home run. When you look back on all these things, they mean a lot. Maybe the person who looks back at you from these reflections isn't the same person who played tag and wore pa with feet. But, when you look back again you realize that you haven't really grown up at all, just older. And, you think as you look back on all the little things, that there's no suck thing as a nothing-much day. As long as you can look into these reflections and see more each time you'll have a lot to laugh at, a lot to love, and a lot to look back on.

The seniors, as in any group of people, have a wide diversity of personalities. There are the comedians, whom everyone either feels at ease with or very uncom- fortable with. Some feel at ease because the comedian sets an easy going feeling and can always be depended on to keep the conversation going, even if it isn't worth listening to. Other feel uncomfort- able because you never are completely sure what the comedian will do next. An- other group, to the extreme left of the comedian, is made from the shy person. He's always quiet, hardly ever expressing his own opinion. It's hard to tell what the shy person is thinking, and even hirder to know where you stand with them. Some- times you get the fear that they are quiet- ly going over you in their minds judging the good and bad in you. In between the comedian and the shy person there are countless other personalities. Each one adds his own special touch to the world. It's this diversity that makes Lincoln and the world interesting places to be. Susan Gard doesnt know whether to laugh or frown. Kelly Callahan studies faithfully. t Mark Ripberger unwinds after a government test. .lim Mattingly and Cheryl Smith are getting bet- ter acquainted. Time Sparks finds it difficult to see out of his new glasses.
