TABLE CHAPTER CHAPTER CHAPTER CHAPTER CHAPTER OE I-E II-- III - IV - V-, CONTENTS - ADMINISTRATION A HOMEROOMS ORGANIZATIONS SPORTS SENIORS PREFACE Gone are the days when our hearts were young and gay. Gone are my friends from Lincoln High away. Gone from the halls that we all did know so well, I miss their laughing voices and the old school bell. Our school inspired a songster ot twenty-tive years ago to write, and surely we'll not forget her when at last we all must go. Down through the years those words, so many times repeated, have brought tears to the eyes ot every senior as he has approached the end ot his student days at Lincoln. He will always remember his friends, the good times that made the walls ring with laughter and fun, he will remember the sad times when his teachers and his principal or his parents frowned. Memories of high school are mixed - there is joy and there is sorrow, but problems and complexities never slow down or confuse us teenagers -- we can answer anything. And twenty years from graduation day when we page through our annual with a whimsical smile, that smile will broaden as We remember how we considered ourselves equal to any oc- casion, and all because our Hearts were young and gay. 5 I 5 i W E MR. Student Council The Student Council may Well be called the Uvoice ot the students, for it is through the council that the pupils may give their ideas and opinions, At the meetings, with Mr. Iohn Bussone as counselor, representa- tives discuss topics vital to the school and the students. During the year, tour members were sent to the state convention at Wauwatosa. With other representatives, they discussed mat- ters with which all schools are concerned. This year, as in the past, the Student Council sponsored a Thanksgiving Basket project. Each homeroom in the school col- lected tood and placed it in baskets. These baskets were then delivered to needy tam- ilies in this area in the hope of making their holiday brighter. This organization is composed of students interested in popular music. Several ot the acts presented Were in- strumental solos, dancing, singing, novelty acts, and a modern dance group. Mary Ann Bruzina and Ross Serio Were mistress and master ot ceremonies. The student di- rectors Were Emily Barbeaux and Louis Ba- gozzi. Mr. Beduhn assisted Mrs. Mohr with the production. At the beginning of the season, the outlook was very dishearten- ing as the team was composed mostly of in- experienced players. Some of the players were still out for football and were slow in getting started. As the season progressed, the team showed all the signs of becoming a championship quintet. A ray of hope gleamed in the eye of every loyal Lincolnite, But like all good things it came to an end. ln the first game, the Comets fought hard, but lost to the Alumni by a close margin of two points. Our quintet lost to Messmer and lanesville, also. Lincoln ended its losing streak by beating Rufus King in the first game of font rence season.
