Owzeacba ' SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Harvey Ph1111pS Vrce Presrdent, Evelyn Doerr, Secretary Lmda Yoder, Treasurer Stephen Yoder , Presldent elaugfwtozq Once upon a trme there were one hundred and twenty mentally socrally and phys1cally undeveloped boys and glrls the Class of 58 who ventured rnto the krngdom of P H S to seek therr fortunes Accordlng to the custom of the land these new crtlzens were 1m medrately rnstalled as Freshmen the lowest most contemptrble class rn the krngdom rn a pagan ntual known as 1n1t1at1on However the lowly Freshmen were not wrthout representatron for they were per mrtted to elect four able members of therr class to serve on the Councrl whrch 3dV1S6d the krng of P H S Mr Beabout After a year of serfdom all but a few of the 1n1t1ates were rarsed to the somewhat nobler rank of Sophomore They now became more actrve rn govern mental affarrs and rn the other actrvrues of the krngdom Some of the members of the Class of 58 served ably on the basketball football and track teams whrch served as armres to defend the krngdom of P H S and 1IS honor from surroundrng krngdoms Soon ll was trme for another step upward for e Class of 58 thrs trme to the rank of Jumor As Iunrors they elected four offrcers among whose dutres were rn general to orgamze the class and manage 1ts affarrs and especrally to grve a Ball at the Palace to whrch all the Jumors and Senlors were rnvrted and thrs they d1d very well Then came the day when the Class of 58 became Semors a rank whrch held many responsrbrhtres as well as prrvrleges New offrcers were elected rn the klngdom and they served capably for the rest of the year As rn prevrous years many of the Senrors partrcrpated rn the varrous actrvrtres of the krngdom such as band chorr H1 Y and S S S and they were the f1rst to enjoy membershrp rn the Natronal Honor Socrety whrch they helped brrng to the krngdom The Class of 58 contrrbuted much of therr ume and energy to those groups Frnally through the efforts of patrent rnstructors and four years of hard work the class of 1958 was graduated w1th hlgh honors and left the krngdom rn further search of therr fortunes z . . , . . n 3 .
