Our principal, WILLIAM B. BOGAR, has always been admired by the students. His friendly attitude toward pupils, faculty, and patrons has resulted in a fine spirit of co' operation. SCHOOL The measure ot a man's lite is in the well-spending ot it. Any young man having his personal and career lite ahead ot him will tind it worth-while to ponder the values and stand- ards that have sustained Otto l-laclcman's own lite. l-le has brought to his educational career a love ot lite and a spiritual strength. l-tis capacity tor understanding the prob- lems ot young people and his ability to help OTTO HACKMAN, assistant principal and dean of boys for twentyfseven years, makes one of his last appointments at Lincoln High before his retirement. EXECUTIVES them toward a solution ot these problems will instill in others a desire to emulate him. It is with a great deal ot regret that this year many ot us who have lcnown him as teacher, colleague, and triend must say. Good-Bye. However, he will, by the in- spiration ot his example in many years ot devoted service, point a better way tor students and teachers. COLLECTIONS I-Iome room counselors are oiien insiru- menial in influencing flue lives and ailiiucles of Ilie pupils by offering advice aboui' per- sonal problems, vocalions, and college preparaiion. HARRY KUKLIN and MISS BETTY PAULT, junior home room teachers, prepare plans for a unit of study on dating for their classes. Mr. Kulqlin is also swimming and golf coach. Teaching English and social studies provides MRS. ANN MILLER, guidance counselor, with plenty to do. In addition, she is sponsor of Usherettes. These counselors, MRS. VIRGINIA ROBERTS, GUILFORD BURNHAM, and MRS. ALICE UPDEGRAFT, help sophomore pupils to become acquainted with Lincoln High. Mrs. Roberts also advises juniors and sponsors Aqualinlqs. Page 9
