'ntl Q K c0l0' prised at all. The year ended with forty-oners well versed in the ways of a high school and quite ready to talce over as seniors. Their senior year was the routine husiness of lceeping school honors in the family. A fall performance, the senior play was The Goose Hangs High. Difficult enough to demand the iaest in senior talents. it won its audiences whole hearted approval. The husiness of amassing suiiicient credit hours, malcing plans for university or after-graduation johs, and competing for the regents scholarships con- sumed most ol' their last semester. in lVlay there was a last class party, graduation in June, and then their high school experience was over. Baslcets and huclcets of thanks are due those understanding sponsors of the class oi '41, lyliss Gertrude Jones and lxfliss lrene Nlar- tin. They are the good fairies who olcayed the ice cream lor the sophomore party. and painted class members' faces for olympics, and quietly encouraged nervous actors in the class plays. Forty-oners shall ever he indehted for their hehind-the-scenes-iniiuence that made class undertakings successful. As they were ahout to finish their three years in Lincoln high school some found time to stop and consider their stay. The school, its teachers, the marhle bordered halls, the Hood- lighted oval, the studies they had taken. the cluhs they had joined. the things they had done and dreamed, the friends they had made, all had iniiuenced them in some way great or small. All, had they he-en asked, would have admitted that though they later hecome min- isters, chemists, salesmen, or teachers, Lincoln high had made a lasting impression on them. i 2 the Dnwgariit loilnswn' l UQ 'S X V i X ant ,mm-rs Pxrthtm' V' I -.L x ww - UPFW - mf' uhm. taste in Yang in an Tiiizcmmr-s ,c - ., a be Olyiupics and N175 Pu iw- sooisstiiior Why his .
