is f - r f ami' Varsity Cheerleaders This year, Lincoln's Varsity cheer staff worked hard to promote school spirit. They consistently showed their appreciation for the teams by putting up signs on home- room doors, at pep assemblies, and on the players houses. The squad, consisting of eight members, worked hard at their daily practices to perfect their routines and cheers. Thanks to their dedication school spirit was high at games and assemblies. Cheerleaders With the ambition to set the emotions of the crowd into excitement and spirit, the six Junior Varsity Cheer- leaders showed continuous enthusiasm at all basketball games. They were chosen at the beginning of the year so that the sophomores would also have a chance to be on the squad. Many hours were spent after school work- ing on better performance and appearance. Being only the second group of J .V. Cheerleaders to come out of Lincoln, it was hard for them to get people to support them. But as the year went on more and more students cheered with them and gave them support. TOP LEFT: Lonnie Lew, Veronica Williams, Denise Panorian, Karen Pitsch, Kathy Heady, Sylvia Collier.
