Girls Ensemble Girls Ensemble visited nursing homes, banquets, and a few churches. A Solo and Ensemble contest was held at Tacoma Community College. Lincoln's Girls Ensemble recieved a superior rating. Concert Chorale Concert Chorale has a busy schedule every year espe- cially before Christmas. Concert Chorale is a select group chosen by Mr. Schuchman. A few of their performances were for Parent's Night, Viewcrest Nursing Home, Thanksgiving Assembly, over radio stations KTNT and KTOY, Christmas Vespers Concert, Tahoma Grand- mother's Club, and the Christmas Assembly. These are just a sample of all the outstanding performances held for the 1972-73 school year. S Orchestra The students of orchestra took part in three concerts this year, a musical, and played at the seniors gradua- tion. The students sometimes perform in small ensem- bles like trios and quintetsg and at each concert Mr. Shea, the music director of orchestra, tries to feature a soloist. Orchestra is a prerequisite for the students who want to be members of the Tacoma Youth Symphony. Lincoln has four or five students who are members of this well known symphony. Some students have gone to summer music Fine Art Group Camps in Montana or California. Rosemary Jones had this to say about orchestra, The Lincoln High orchestra has a great deal of tradition be- hind it. The pride of our school, and educational ex- perience for those who seek aesthetic gain through par- ticipation in a group such as ours.
