The election of Sam Washington as Abe and Connie La- Fountain as Mary climaxed the Lincoln Week activities. The week was filled with such activities as Slave Day, Cirub Day, Senior Day, The Beard Growing Contest, and the annual Lincoln Week Assembly. The assembly was opened with the Concert Corral singing a few songs, and the Dra- ma Class did a series of one-act skits. The winners of the Beard GrowingContest were: P irst Place, Iohn Schultz, Steve Smith for a close Second and Torn Tompson for Peach Fuzz were also introduced. For the third consecutive year l.incOln's Afro week was climaxed by the creative and popular talents of l.incoln's black students, featuringg Carl lVlcClaron, lyy Dverton, Jackie Davis, Kathy Noel, and Valerie l-lerbertr The music, costumes, and plays made for an exciting program.
