Homecoming . This yearls Homecoming Week started on November 1 and climaxed on the 5th. The Homecoming activities started in the morning and continued into the night and were filled with excitement, surprises, joy, and sorrow. Early Friday morning, there were two assemblies. VVhile the student body waited tor the Court to arrive, the band and the Concert Corral entertained. The court consisted of Queen Diane Nugent, King Tony Harvey, Toya W'il- liams, Cathy Torkelson, Tony Fernadez, Sue Freuden- stein, Mike Hildabrand, Lisa Neal, Steve Smith, Laila Casperson, Iohn Reed and Miles Landon, There was a Homecoming Dance in honor ot Queen Diane and King Tony in the boys old gym after the game with Mount Tahoma. Pat Carney was chairman ot this years Homecoming festivities. The junior Varsity Cheerleaders for the 1971-72 football and basketball seasons were Suzie Nugent, Debbie Brandon, Denise Armstrong, Mully Sharon, Rhonda Radford, and Ian Everett. They were the first IV Cheerleaders chosen at Lincoln and practiced after school everyday to strive for perfect form. They showed con- tineous spirit and enthusiam even with the sparsely attended crowds they re- ceived.
