Faculty, Administrators Impress Upon Retirement in 1968 cost Lincoln High 109 years of teaching experience. Sheldon Brooks, Industrial Arts head, left after thirty years at Lincoln and 43 years teaching, Art Carlson, Business education, nineteen years at Lincoln and 25 years teaching, Miss B. Enger, thirty-three years at Lincoln and 41 years teaching. The student body regrets these retirements, but expresses best Wishes for a pleasant retirement. Further significant changes in the Lincoln faculty were noted in the addition of twenty faculty members. Transferring to Lincoln from other Tac- oma schools Were Bruce Alexander, P.E., James Black, PE., Robert lufer, D.V.R, Marshall Field, Social Studies, Mrs. Constance Miller, Spanish, and Phillip Thomas, Art. New to the school system and assigned to Lincoln were Mrs. Chiply Johnson, P.E., Jerry Collins, English, Miss Jill Convvell, English, Glen Foster, Ind. Arts, Miss Camille Leonardo, Biology, Mrs. Pepita Sarmiento, Spanish, Mrs. Me- linda Mclnteer, Drama, Dr. Zander Ponzo, Counsel- ling, Duane Richardson, Counselling, Henry Arnold Counselling, Miss Janice Mileski, D.V.R., Mrs. Eleanor Wotton, Social Studies, and James Shea, part-time orchestra. Leaving at yearis end for further study were John Breaky, Physics, and Miss Camille Leonardo, Biology. Our year was saddened by the death of Mrs. Vivian Sterling who was a devoted and expert Social Studies teacher and P.E. instructor at Lincoln for many years. 1 ,E rr MR. HAROLD BERNDT Principal
