OISVVOIT . . . The time of our lives: and what a time it has been! We have worked together, learned together, enjoyed extrafcurricular activities together, and upheld the fine standards of our school. In what better ways could time be spent? Do you remember how many times you looked at the tower clock for reassurance that you would not be late for school? Can you still see the classroom clock ticking away your precious learning time? While you were running for your afterfschool meetings you glanced at your watch to make sure you would be on time. Remember? This annual, we hope, will recapture each moment of happiness and happy memory that you have had at Lincoln. As you read this review of your school activities, remember the words of Austin Dobson: g'Time goes you say Ah, no! Alas, time stays, we go. While you are reading this 1957 yearbook, you will recall many fond memories of days spent in learning, growing up, and having, in general, 7 7 C Ae IPM? O Ml' IVGS Dedication . . . Everfaging Time teaches all things -Aeschylus. Ever since the beginning of time, man has contributed knowledge to the future. Much of this knowledge is passed on in our schools. Time flies by so rapidly that before we know it the knowledge that seems to lie in the future will be that of our present. Father Time, our instructor, has taught us that we must plan wisely today for our future by grasping that knowledge as Time carries it by. And so it is to you, Father Time, because you have taught us to budget our Time and use it to the greatest advantage, that we, the 1957 Lincolnian staff, respectfully dedicate our book.
