Nadine Rostedt treasurer Janice Ludwig yice president John Hansler president Beyerly Bird secretary Twylla Jones representatne to council Sophs Dig Their Roots In Before a tree branches out into the beautious thing of nature it is it must deyelop a strong sturdy stem In high school this corresponds to the Sophomore class or the yearlmgs to the Juniors and seniors with whom they haye contact eyery day Getting a good start in Lincoln is probably the hardest for most of the Hrst year students Making new friends Iinding their far Hung classes in a big unfamiliar school and getting accustomed to their new teachers are but a few of their worries But usually after two or three weeks of confusion they swing into the Lincoln way of things and settle down to prepare themsely es to widen their scope of study and activity in the next two years of high school They find many interesting Helds to enter in order to prepare for college entrance for all college courses find their start in the high school Almost without an exception by the time they graduate the Sophs are proud to call Lincoln their alma mater 'I he yearlings started the year off by electing little blond blue eyed Johnny Hansler as their chief of staff Janice Ludwig as second in command Beverly Bird the new secretary Nadine Rostedt, treasurer, and Twylla Jones as the new representative to council. Much enthusiasm was shown in the election of officers yy ith eight contenders sparring for the presidency, two candidates each for the vice-presidency and treasurer positions. However. the representative to council and secretary jobs only drew one candidate apiece.
