So, when Trumbull is ordered fo go fo l-lagersfown, Barbara goes fhere fo marry him. While preparing for fhe wedding af 'lhe minisfer's house, Trumbull is called fo baffle. Lafer Barbara shoofs a Soufhern soldier fo profecf her lover. Trumbull is wounded in baffle and Barbara hides him in her home. Mr. Friefchie discovers Trum- bull, buf Barbara persuades her fafher fo allow him fo remain. The lives of bofh Barbara and Trumbull are endangered by fhe populace when fhey furn againsf Barbara who defies fhem wifh a Union flag.
