Q A. 3 On September 6 l9L3, a group of 50 greeno freshmen en tered the halls of LhS to begin their careers as high school students At their f1rst class meeting they elected the fol lowing officers President Duane Wallace Vice president Ruby Tromble Secretary John Pescador Treasurer Lois Webb Sponsor Hr Mitchell The high lights of the year were two class plcnics and a freshman chapel program On September A l9LL, thls group Know numberlng 513 came back for more Along wlth trying to boss the freshmen we sponsored an all school party, gave a play for the sophomore assembly entitled Elmern, and elected one of our classmates, Melvin Aufdemberge, as the most popular boy ln school The officers for thls year were Presldent Melvin Aufdemberge Vice president Ronald Streeter Secretary Joan Wilson Treasurer Shirley Meili Sponsors Miss Sitts Miss Shanteau On September 3, l9b5 L7 of this group came to be known as upper classmen The Junior play, 'Special Delivery' was one of the best comedies ever presented in L H S The Jr Sr banquet, given May 2, in which the Gypsy theme was used was a great success Harl wood's 8 piece orchestra helped to make this event a success During the year we also sponsored an allschool party The officers for this eventful year were President Jim Lounsbury Secretary Joan Wilson Treasurer Shirley Meili Sponsors Miss Wink Mr Buller Miss Lare At last' Forty eight of us came back to begin our year as Seniors On February A, we sponsored an all school party with Jimmy James' orchestra Our candidate for football queen Lleanna Rhudy, was elected to reign over the Minneapolis Lincoln football game Our Senlor play was weD.presented and well received by a large audlence This triumhant yer ended with the usual serles of events lncluding Baccalaureatqplass Night, and last, but by no means least, Commencement The officers for this year were President Jim Lounsbury Vice president Rex Shaffer Secretary Joan kilson Treasurer Shirley Meili Sponsors Mrs DeNio Mr Boucher Miss Bonecutter One of the outstanding accomplishments of the Class of l9L7 was that one of our candidates for cheer leader was elected every year They were as follows Freshman Year Lleanna Rhudy Sophomore Year Lois vebb Junior Year Virginia Spear senior Year Lois Webb Head Cheer Leader 6 9 - ----------------------,'f f ' , . . - 1 Vice-president ---------------- Rex Shaffer
