SENIOR LIFE On a brlght September morning in 19hO a very small group of boys and girls enrolled as Freshmen ln Lincoln High School to begin their high school career It was one of the smallest classes to enroll for several years Mr Decker was apoolnted class sponsor, with Mr Roberts and kiss Sitts as asslstants They elected Everett Yadel as their first president Delbert H011 as vice president, and Dorothy Meyer as secretary treasurer The soclal hlghlight of the vear was a class picnic at Ryan's Rocks An outstanding one act comedy, 'Elmer , was presented as their contrlbution to the chapel programs In their sophomore vear, Everett kadel became president, Donald Blythe, Vice presldent, and Dorothy Meyer, secretary treasurer Their class sponsors we e Miss Sitts, Mr Innes, and Liss Lockhart On September 17, the class members enjoyed a very successful picnic in the city park Due to their studious efforts they became Juniors, and were upper classmen at last' Agaln thelr very br11liant leader, Everett hadel became presldent, Harold Buttenhoff, vlce presldent, Dorothy Meyer, secretary, and Florence Mever, treasurer Thelr sponsors were B153 nlnk, Miss Stevens, and Mr Worrell One of the biggest problems of the year was to entertain the Senlors with a banquet whlch was one of the most successful ever given The very appropriate theme was, NSay It With Lusicn Another great success of the vear was their Junior play, WRomance In A Boardlng Housen, presented December 3 They sponsored several chapel programs, and presented a one act play for their pay chapel These very active Juniors tled fu flTSt place in a key collecting campaign, Seniors at last' Again Everett Kadel became president, making a record of four years in succession, Dick Kessler, vice presldent, May Louise Howard, sec retary, and Phyllis Yarnell, treasurer The social life of the seniors was malnlv composed of school dances a parties The Junlor Senior Prom, held April 27, was great1y'en1oyed The senior play, American Passportu, was presented April 13 and was great success Then Came baccalaureate and commencement exercises which made high school graduates of this class we wlsh to thank Mrs DeNio, hiss Schneider, and hr Regier as class sponsors for helplng us complete our happy senior life SENIORS Everett Kadel May Louise Howard Class President L Class Secretary 2 Football 3 S- cleebcliw 1 G A A 8 Basketball A Annual Staff nu' Broadcaster Staff ..-- L Club 2 Cab 1 Jr Red Cross Pres 1 Student Council 2 Vice Pres 1 Sr Pres 2 Home Ec A Cab 1 Annual Staff Broadcaster Staff Student Council 1 Pep Club 1 Latin Club 3 Senior Play Play Science Club 3016509 Club 1 wet!
