COLLINS, Treas. E. A. SMITH M. L. ERICKSON W. W. O'HARA UCH credit is due the men who serve our city schools as members of the Board of Education. They must give much valuable time to the con- sideration of School problems and school needs. The very marked development of the Lake City school system during the past tive years is largely a result of the foresight and careful consideration of the men who have during this period guided the destinies of our schools. Students who are now enjoying such splendid opportunities as well as those who will each year enter our halls, should remember and be appreciative. 14

WASSMAN I Class Sketch UT four short years ago we were looking for the graduation Star as through a glass darkly, and now that the coveted goal is so near attainment, we look back upon those, happy days of preparation through a Senior perspec- tive, that minimizes the many tribulations, that loomed so large at the time. Our class has come into being, has had its brief existance, and departs. Knowledge was what we were seeking, Excelsior our aim, and ample has been our reward. As Freshmen We envied the Juniors and as Juniors we pitied the Freshmen. We mourned the loss of such luminaries as Floyd Lowrie, Edmund Kane, Marjorie Mabey, Mayland Anerson, etc., etc., who have gone, leaving the class impoverished of sterling brain and brawn. We gloried in our ability to arouse Freshmen envy by facile reeling off Latin maxims, Physics formulus, German proverbs, and Chem- ical equations. Ours have been happy years in old L. C. H. S. We regret the necessity of parting, but hope that it will be only to grasp greater opportunities beyond the pale of L. C. I-I. S. life. As a class we have made good and may these four years shine as a light to guide us in the path of life when shadows fall around us and may Excelsior ever be our aim. 16
