At the beginning of the season no one expected the team to have such outstanding success. As the season progressed and our foot- ballers continued to win game after game, spirit rose and the thought of a championship inspired the players on to one of the finest seasons in Lincoln's history. Whatever the rea- son, all will agree that every player was vital to our great club. Strowhouer Abraham Lincoln High School has displayed supe- riority in Public League Gym meets since 1954. The Team has won the League Championship during the 1954, 1955, and 1956 seasons. The squad in past years was led by such boys as Dave Hirst, a member of Univ versity of Pittsburghis Gym Team, Steve Telepman, a gymnastic scholarship winner to Syracuse, and Ken Orkin, city ring champion from our graduating class.
