In a three year period the amazing gymnasts of Lincoln High's gym team have gone undefeated in their last 18 contests and has 'I honored Lincoln by giving it two straight championships. Under the able guidance of Mr. Philip Schneider, the boys are confident they will bring back to Lincoln the 1956 gym championship. The nucleus of the 1955-56 basket- ball team is composed of eight returning lettermen from last year's team. Using a fast break offense, man to man de- fense, they will try to equal or pass last season's record of six and six in Public League competition. YVith the fine coaching of Mr. Robert Polidor and the eight returning letter- Inen Lincoln is expected to finish high up in the league with such stand-outs as Northeast and YVest Philadelphia. Seniors on the team were: Joseph Friedricll, Ronald Goldstein, Yvilliaul Kennedy.

X ' ,vu NN. B '19 . a The tennis team under its new coach, Mr. Irving Brod, will definitely be among the top ranking teams within the next year or two. Mr. Brod has several young boys that will develop into fine players. Martin Bascove is the only member of the varsity squad that is graduating. Fortyfthree The golf team enjoyed a good season this year. under the able Coaching of Mr. Kalman. head of the math department. They played five matches in league play. winning all but one. The only loss sustained by the team was at the hands of Central High. Mr. Kalman and the boys are looking forward to another fine season next year. Seniors on the team were: Robert Griegel.
