jk ,Salary A large number of people have played a part in The Story of Sixty which started some twelve or thirteen years ago. First, there were our parents who attempted to prepare us for school with its many social involvements. Our friends and well-wishers provided needed encouragement. Competent administra- tors directed a course ofstudy. Our teachers whom we think of as a combination of parent and teacher inspired, motivated, praised, scolded, and impelled us along the way. We want our teachers to know that we are aware of the large part which they have played in guiding us in the right direction. Without them and their unselfish devotion to our mental, physical and moral well-being we would not have been able to participate in The Story of Sixty.

Dr. Thomas presents diplomas at the 75th commencement. This YEARBOOK commemorates the 75th year of service of Lincoln High School to Kansas City. Through these years, Lincoln has kept pace with the growth and development of our community. Lincoln is proud of the many distinguished citizens who at sometime or another have occupied seats in the classrooms. Practically every kind of occupational endeavor has been engaged in by Lincoln's graduates. They are located all over the world. We, staff members all, who have had some part, large or small, in Lincoln's history, take pride in this graduating class, We hope that each graduate will contribute to our splendid history, adding continued prestige to an already enviable record. It is our fervent hope that We can find better Ways to serve those who, in the future, will honor us with their enrollment. Sincerely, Earl D. Thomas
