The Lincoln High School for 70 years has attempted, and successfully so, to pro- vide guidance and educational advantages to the thousands of Kansas City youth who have passed through its portals. The taxpayers of the city have provided beautiful and adequate buildings. They have made possible the employment of a qualified and dedi- cated staff. And, as a result, graduates too numerous to mention have emerged and taken their places throughout the world as successful and respected citizens. This class will be no exception. To the graduates of 1955 who have striven so hard to help Lincoln grow and de- velop, we heartily extend the best wishes of our staff for a happy, useful and successful life. They will enter years of greater opportunities than those experienced by our former graduates. It is our fervent hope that they make the best use of them. EARL D. THOMAS Principal - 9 -

West, Vice-Principal Mr. West discusses with this student the importance of regular attendance. To create a consciousness of this factor on the part of the student is a primary goal of Lincoln High School. - 10 —
