Earl D. Thomas, Principal A.M. University of Chicago Earl D. Thomas, Principal. My Friends: I take pleasure in recommending your gradua- tion from the Lincoln High School and Junior College. You have reached the end of another period of your public school education. Gradua- tion should indicate that you are ready to pur- sue studies toward professional employment or you are ready to enter vocational training or pri- vate employment. Graduation from Junior Col- lege indicates courage and persistence in pursuing formal education. The two years of additional training above the high school should better en- able you to take your place in the vocational world. To all of you, my sincere hope that the years to come will be happy and profitable, that you will continue to learn and to contribute to the welfare of your race and country. That, only, is the purpose of your training. Sincerely, Girard T. Bryant, Vice-Principal Dean, Junior College A.M. University of Kansas
I Carolyn E. Brydie, Counselor A.M. University of Chicago We dedicate this annual to our retiring counselor because of her sincere interest in the boys and girls whose lives she has touched; because she exemplifies all that is noble in character; and because we love her and know that Lincoln will miss her more than very much.
