Lineolnite Miss Bernice Smith Winner of the Annual Popularity Contest We, indeed, feel happy to introduce to our reading public, the Queen of the Class of ’35 — Miss Bernice Smith. We rest assured that she will overcome all confronting obstacles and ordeals as easily and completely as she has emerged victorious over her opponents in this contest. Much to our surprise, we found in her a trait unknown to us — ex- cellent salesmanship. Miss Smith, who is a member of Miss Smothers’ advisory group, was given a comparatively close race by Misses Oz- ella Harris, Elsie Baker, and Faye Al- len. Congratulations, to your Majesty, for there’s happiness ahead. Page Fifteen
