Mechanical, heat, light, sound, electrical, and nuclear energy were studied. Chemistry is a study of matter and its behavior. ln chemistry classes there was a close correlation be- tween theory and laboratory work. Chemical experiments were perforrnf ed in the laboratory. A basic part ot the course was writing formulas and equations and working problems. Biology is the study of plant and animal structure. Conservation and heredity were studied extensively. fe.
