for the School NDER the supervision of Mr, George Kan- zelberger. staff members worked to put on a regular Friday afternoon fifteen-minute radio pro- gram informing the community and the student body of school activities. sports. and news. Various tapes of speakers, panels. faculty meme bers. and students are used on the Lo f radio ro- fn tram, Lincoln Lo v staff also makes ta e cuts of 5- 5- sfliool productions. which are sent to local radio stations as advertisements. DEBATE CLUB, ROW l-Ar+ Muchin, Karen Paque, Penny Schuetfe, Joel Hofslund ROW 2-Mr. Eugene Cramer, Dan Dewane, Bob Newberry They Spoke TUDENTS interested in public speak- ing and debating are given a chance to express themselves by joining the lforen- sics or Debate clubs at Lincoln. This years forensics students, under the direction of Miss Margaret Bloom, Mr. Frank Novitski and Mr. Howard Wils- mann, participated in humorous and ser- ious declamation and extemporaneous speaking. At the league regional competi- tion in Menasha March 21, all Lincolnites received B ratings except jimwinclus who received an A rating, enabling him to compete in the district and state contests. Mr. Eugene Cramer coached this years debate team. A debate club was organized at Lincoln to help students have a better understanding of logical argument and to develop a greater interest in public speak- ing among young people. Under the direction of Mr. George Kanzelherger. the Stage Crew spent .ill of its free time in the work room below the stdge. designing and painting the flats and scenery for every dramatic production. The crew also handles all the lighting for pro- ductions .ind takes charge of any other stage pro- grams.
