DEBATE CLUB, ROW l-Ar+ Muchin, Karen Paque, Penny Schuetfe, Joel Hofslund ROW 2-Mr. Eugene Cramer, Dan Dewane, Bob Newberry They Spoke TUDENTS interested in public speak- ing and debating are given a chance to express themselves by joining the lforen- sics or Debate clubs at Lincoln. This years forensics students, under the direction of Miss Margaret Bloom, Mr. Frank Novitski and Mr. Howard Wils- mann, participated in humorous and ser- ious declamation and extemporaneous speaking. At the league regional competi- tion in Menasha March 21, all Lincolnites received B ratings except jimwinclus who received an A rating, enabling him to compete in the district and state contests. Mr. Eugene Cramer coached this years debate team. A debate club was organized at Lincoln to help students have a better understanding of logical argument and to develop a greater interest in public speak- ing among young people.
