MANITOU STAFF-Jane Hamman, editor-in-chief: Elizabeth Savage, associate editor: Sharon Eber, asso- ciate editor JUNIOR ASSISTANTS-Mary Beth Kollafh, Judy Jones, Bonnie Raeuber, Darlyne Olson 20-Manitou Slaff Staffs Work Hlf MANITOU, the school literary maga- zine, pleasantly surprised its readers when the first of two editions came out with a new Slim jim shape. Sketches relative to the con- tents carried through a clever art motif. The little staff of five, with the help of the junior assistants, spent their staff meetings read- ing, judging, and editing literature submitted by students for possible publication. The staffs selections were then given to some of the faculty members who also judged them. To give its readers an interesting and a com- plete publication, the Manitou features short stories, poems, sketches, essays, editorials and book reviews. Staff members are hoping to ex- ceed the Second Class honor rating from the Na- tional Scholastic Press association of last year. Q t MANITOU STAFF-Caryl Timmers, art editor: Catherine Green, business manager
