Boys taking drafting learn the fundamentals of blueprinting as well as the basic principles of complex mechanical objects. Minds and HHN THERE are the body and spirit. UA little exercise never hurt anyone seems to be the motto of the physical education def partment. As you may have noticed, the gym and pool rinq with shouts at all periods. For those who like to blow their own horn there is band, and although some pretty strange sounds emit lroni the band room at times, they look and sound wonderful in public. The best hour ot the day is library and it it's seventh per' iod on Friday, its better yet. Then you can lean on one hand and gaze out a window as the voices ot the chorus sina, The l,ord Bless You and keep You. All is not work in the girls l physical education classes. Be- sides learning various sports and basic health rules, time is taken to enable the students to show off balancing skills. 10-Opening Chorus members spend many extra hours around the piano perfecting solos and group numbers in order to earn honors at music festivals and to present the well-received pro- grams to the students.

At tho same time someone may be givina a speech concerning the atomic theory in speech arts, another someone may bc turns ing out a golden loat ot loread or a dress in home economics class. lf you have a warm coat and don't mind a little chilly weather, you could trek down to the shops and watch future electricians and mechanics. They're really skilled, as you may see some expert car jolos on the vehicles in the parking lot. Or it you don't appreciate winter, you can wait and examine articles produced by the art department. Some ot them may be a little ott beat, but they sell, and its the students who buy them. Learning how to complete a circuit is only one of the many skills taught in electricity classes. The proper methods oi giving speeches are demonstrated to the class by speech arts students. Various parts of an automobile are taken apart and examined by members of auto mechanics. Opening-9

Bodies Are Stimulated Lincoln students take full advantage of the library's modern facilities. Whether working on term papers. assignments, or just reading one of the many new magazines and books, the library provides iust the right atmosphere. Mk iss fx - ABOVE.
