LASSES are the backbone of Lincoln High, the core around which the en- tire school revolves. Here, as you walk through the halls, you hear the low hum that choruses from each floor, broken at times by a Wave of laugh- ter as perhaps someone misquotes Chau- cer or sees his eye through the microscope. Then the shrill buzz of the bell brings bedlam and students tear out of rooms as if their very lives depended on the next three minutes. A boy races past, muttering amo, amas, amat, amamus . . and a girl UHZU , i . . and yet another group discussing the geometrical theorems in the very same World history students learn that history also needs breath with prOII1 dates. some knowledge of geography and map-reading. And they gather in knowledge and di- gest it, enabling them to go on to bigger and better things. Active Minds Former fears forgotten. sophomores girls discover that a biology dissection is interesting and informative.
