The spring play, under the direc- tion of Mr. George Kanzelberger, was a differ- ent type of production from those given in the past. For the first time in a Lincoln play, no scenery was used. The setting was left to the imagination of the audience. The stage manager, Howard Oestreich, cre- ated a setting for the characters with words, explaining the play to the audience as it pro- gressed. The production exemplified typical life in a town which, although imaginary, could be any town in the United States.
