Ed Holsen, Fred Brandt. Pat Rauch CC ' ' Q? Come Ra ln or Shlne Come Rain or Shine was a very appropriate title for our senior class play this year because the people really crammed the auditorium, t'Come Rain or Shine. It was a grand performance, relating the queer antics of a family suddenly gone dramatic rrazy. Funny indeed was the scene in which the handsome and vibrant young director, Dan Lyons, suddenly gets himself into a love scene which causes gossip for the next few days. Besides, there were useless utterings of a poor harassed father and the fight-to-the-finish rivalry of Rosemary and jac over the various men in their lives. And, oh, yes, let us not forget the actions of the boisterous maid, Helen, whose many entries resembled peals of thunder more than anything else. Yes, Come Rain or Shine was a grand show, with Marilyn Carbon, Lois Bruechert, Alice Spevachek, Pat Walsh, Pat Rauch, Caroline Weber, Theresa Tadych, Bob Kowalski, Fred Brandt, Ed Holsen, Paul Lettenber- ger, Don Creager, Carol Erdman, Carol Stiefvater and Marilyn Herzog, the cast, all doing their best. Mr. Frank Novitski, director tleftl, explains a few points about the senior class play to Pat Walsh, member of the cast, who was absent when the above picture was taken. 91

Spring reen 'Tis said in spring a young man's fancy turns to love-and worms. Such was the case in Spring Green. Our play revolved around the troubles of a problem child and his strug- gle between two loves, to please the charming Eula with a bottle of Spring Green perfume and the preservation of his beloved earth- worms. Remember the scene in which thc never-to be-forgotten T. Newton Todd acquaints his military father with the fact that he is to de- vote his entire lite to the development of worms, or the scene in which Pinkie and Tony angle Benefit dates out of Dunk and Bing? And who will forget that Texas-born Dr. Blod- gett and the love-struck actions of the maid, Mrs. Rumble? No, we'll never forget Spring Green or Lois Panosh, Ann Check, Carolyn Kubitz, El- wood Horstman, LaVerne Krueger, Doris Berns, Don Ciigure, Donald R, Petersen, Gerry Duenkel, David Sylvester, Fred Vogelsang, Mary Ann Korlesky, Walter Sonnenburg, jack Fisher and Howard Becker, who all gave grand performances. We want to specially thank our well-known director, Mr. Frank Novitski, for making such performances as these possible. lt was through his helpful pointers and amazing patience that opening nights became nights never to be forgotten.
