HE HI-Y Club is different from , other clubs here at Lincoln. We have certain aims and standards we nmst live up to and which we hope will help to improve the whole school. Club membership is limited, and it is an honor in itself to be admitted. New fellows are voted in by the members of the previous year. This year we had charge of the an- nual football Homecoming celebra- tion. We went to the Plymouth Confer- ence this year, too, with Mr. New- ton jones, our sponsor. We inet a lot ot fellows from clubs like ours in other cities-a really worth while trip! Donna Perkins, Phyllis Madcnwald, Muriel Lindemann, Alice Spevachek Row 3-Carolyn Kllbitz, Margie Randolph, Carol Erdman Absent when pic1ure was taken-Bette Cherney Happ - Go - Luck - Gals Rl-HI-Y-ever sinee we were sophomores we dreamed of being asked to be a member, and now, here we are! We started a tradition, too, we hope-Red-White Day, the suggestion of Miss Bernice Roth, our club ad viser. With the help ot the Hi-Y, we sold banners, gave an extra special pep meeting, and to top it '1ll, a dance after the basketball game. During our long Christmas vacation, we sponsored a barn dance to promote inter-club friendship. We have had a wonderful year and hope that every girl who Wants to be a Tri-Hi-Y member Works hard in order that she may be elected to membership. For the first time the group went to the annual convention along with the I-li-Y. It was held at Plymouth and well worth the trip! lt was fun meeting fellows and girls from similar clubs in other cities, and we really learned what Hi-Y stands for.
