I I U I 0 O VVherever a group of students assembled, much fun and recreation could be had. Groups of this nature were found in various places. They gathered to play baseball in Ewing Park for the city teams or for their own particular group, to iee skate on a frozen pond, to roller skate at nearby rinks, or to attend outdoor dances held in the park. These examples of recreational aetivities are a few of the many by whieh students found enjoyment. Lincoln High felt her young people were creating new friendships as well as devising a means for relaxation. Lincoln Highs purpose of building her students into fine citizens was noted by the townspeople as they saw these young people work and play outside the realm of the school in a manner which indieated their eapaluility to assume major roles in town affairs in future years.
