INHIBCNNHIHH iCt0rY It was a cloudy Colorado day on Oc- tober 10, 1987. In the locker room of the Lincoln Lancers, the tension was high as they prepared to take on the South Rebels. In the stands the crowd huddled together to cheer for the blue and grey. Suddenly the cheerleaders ask- ed the crowd, Lincoln fans how do you feel? The fans then replied WE FEEL COLD, OH WE FEEL SO COLD, UGH!! It was a rough and tumble game. But throughout the battle the mighty Lin- coln Lancers were always on top. At the end of the game, with the score 27 to 6, Lincoln was the victor. Another attribute to the game was the energetic halftime show with pep club and cheerleaders proudly showing their talent along with the band. The wind ensemble led by Mr. Fredrickson brav- ed the cold weather to entertain the fans with their cheerful songs. B. Cherry Leo Tafoya shows his true feelings towards the op- posite team. Lincoln pep club proudly prepares to present its performance. elftt 2 0 Student Life

ANi ht Daradisfl Homecoming, what a night it was for some. For a few, Homecoming consisted of romance, dances and love. For others it was a disaster, punch stains on white lace dresses, blisters from dancing in heels for three hours, and the heart- break of seeing your old flame with a new love. The night was perfect, the decorations were beautiful, I loved the whole evening, stated Heather Frazier. I thought it was the nicest Homecoming in a long time, replied John Mahue. Then came the moment, the crowning of queen and king. The tension built, the names were announced and Bernadette Sisneros, and Grant Mason were given the honors. The royal dance came and so did the disappointment of the other can-' didates. Although losing the honor of queen and king was upsetting, they still had the Prom in the back of their minds. R.Renolds Jennifer Reynolds and Donnie Goss take a moment out to have some punch, at the Paradise Fruit Booth. Blanca Vasquez and Todd Wedel sit out a dance to rest their feet.
