Brentwood Center is a popular place for Lincoln Q N D L I N C 0 students during lunch and after school. Brentwood I Qt, pa lcross the street is the perfect place for hungry ,igh schoolers to go for lunch, where they find a 'ariety of fast food restaurants. I Daily Queen, Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Win- chelle's, and Grandy's, lunch or just a mid-aftemoon snack, these are the places where Lincoln students went. When asked why they went across the street Dione Diehl said, Their food is much better than cafeteria food. Lincoln students were privileged in the sense that they were able to have a choice between school food and fast food. And where did students get the money to eat at these illustrious establishments? They worked at them. Such places were major sources of income taken in by Lincoln students as summer or after school part time jobs. J .Esterly B. Bates 1 Q J . '1 Our surroundings are constantly changing, giving us' a new and ever- expanding environment. The life of a teenager is geared around these changes, especially in music, movies, and sports. The hit songs La Bamba, Here I Go Again, Didn't We AlmostwHave It All, and Rock Steadyv all hit top 40 right after their releases. Lincoln students also enjoyed such movies as Adventures in Babysitting and Can't Buy Me Love. Californians were a little shaky after 6.1 and 5.6 earthquakes with record set- ting high temperatures at the beginning of October. In the meantime NFL players went on strike, however, the games were still played, by replacement players who, some thought, made inadequate football players. B. Bates B. Cherry One of the great attractions this past summer was the retum of the hit song La Bamba in the movie La Bamba. TIQANSID IQTATIU 1. 4 Student Life Here at Lincoln we have many forms of transportation, some people drive, others walk, and some ride the bus, either public or school. Tastes in cars are very different here. Some people have old beat up cars which they wouldn't trade for the world. Kirk Stevens says this about his car, It might not look good, but it gets me where I want to go. On the other hand, Rick Troeger's car is his pride and joy. My car IS bad and I wou1dn't trade it for the world. For those people who either walk or ride the bus, winter can be very long. When it is cold I wish I was in a car, says Alexis Zirpoli. For those who ride the bus, sometime the ride can be very interesting. Liz Consolver says, You meet a lot of interesting people on the bus. This is how Lancers get around. M.
