School means a lot to me because of the social and academic aspect, said Renia Reynolds, also a junior. As summer came to an end, a new school year at ALHS started with great ideas for a fantastic year and a fresh new approach to learn- ing. It was definitely worth cele- brating! When many students crowded the halls on that first day of school, there were hugs and laughs. The bell rang and your first class began. School days were filled with a lot of enjoyable times, and studying for the many tests that had to be taken. The excitement of competition filled Lincoln when we had varsity and junior varsity sports. When those ever-famous weekends ar- rived, we were ready to put down our books and take a break from school work. Students kept busy by going to work, dances, or just hav- ing a good time with friends! Remember the sweaty palms and nervousness of that first date? One can never forget the lunch hours or the short five minutes be- tween classes, not only dashing through the halls, but laughing and joking with friends too. just as the years before, Lin- coln and the people who came here made every moment a time to cele- brate, not only the laughter, but the growing times as well.
