The Broncos looked great in pre- season wins over the Dallas Cowboys, the Minnesota Vikings, and the St. Louis Cardinals. Denver then dropped the first game of the season to Cincinnati and won the next three games against the lets, the Browns, and the Chargers before losing to the Oilers and the Raiders. At press time, they were 4 and 3 and ready to face their archrival, the Oakland Raiders tshudderi for the second time. McNichols Sports Arena was also the site of many large, crowd-gathering events. lt is the home of the NBA Denver Nuggets lYEA!J and the NHL Colorado Rockies fyeall.
