His numerous school activities such as Key Club, Senior Council, and National Honor Society, are perhaps crowned with his excellent achievements in competitive speech. As a member of Tau Sigma he was selected to receive its Certificate of Merit. He is president of the Tri-County Voice of Youth. His many abilities in Scouting have taken him from Washington, D, C. , where he met the President of the United States, and was one of twelve boys to give S coutin g ' s Report to the Nation, to Gotemba, japan, forthe FirstAsianBoyScout Jamboree. Truly, in the eyes of his nation, state, and fellow students, Bob Knight is an outstanding figure, fail HM HOLMES Famous for his winning smile and friendliness, Jim Holmes is one of Lincoln's best athletes. He carried the ball to victory many times amid the excited yells of faithful Lincoln Lancers during football season, par- ticipated in Varsity basketball, and had the hi gh e st batting average on the varsity baseball team that took the all-city title in 1962.
