First of all the Lincoln High football team soundly defeated Fraser High to the tune of a 34'-13 score. At half- time the hand kept up the tempo with a serenade and salute to the Homecoming Queen and her Court. The highlight of the show was Superinten- dent of Schools Max Thompson's crowning of Queen Arlene Croce. The Student Council spon- sored the dance in the high school gymnasium. The dance band, under the direction of Mr. Balos, pro- vided the music for the evening. Gridiron heroes, friends, and alumni climaxed a perfect day at the dance. Max Thompson, Superintendent of Schools. crowns Arlene Croce Homecoming Queen for 1959. In spite of 39 degree weather, Homecoming Queen and Court manage to smile graciously. IL. to RJ Randy ,Keane. During this year the thirty-five members of the council have worked on numerous projects. Heading the list was the purchase of a popcorn machine. The Council felt that all proceeds would go into the Foreign Exchange Fund. A highly competitive and successful canned food drive was held in December. Needy families in the area were the recipients of some Christ- .niis cheer. Students enthusiastically donated to various char- itv drives throughout the year sponsored by the Council. xt, Student Welfare Social Events ' L. tw R.: W. Dunn, 'lf Lirno, U, tlrahzun. 5. Carter.
