Fi.. Intramural hamps Each year the combined clubs of Lincoln High School sponsor an Intramural Basketball Tournament. Boys and girls alike in each grade form teams to compete for the all school championship. A permanent plaque with the name of each winner hangs in the high school office. The games are hotly contested and all the proceeds help support the clubs of the school. Pictured here are the winners and runners-up in both divisions. The 12A Boys Team pictured above ruled the roost as intramural champions of the 1958 season. In the final game they defeated a stout 11A team 31 to 28. Runnerups to the Boys Championship was this group of 11A boys. The tournaments were held in the high school gym on Feb. 18, 19,20 and 2.5, 26. 125 I Second place in the girls division went to this group of 11B A girls, This years tournament was labeled a great success, at least the 12A's thought so. The 12A Girls Team followed the pattern and captured the Girls' version of the Intramural Championship. In the final game they defeated the 11B team 16 to 10.

Thirteen prospects turned out for the 1958 Varsity Golf Team under Coach F. Velchansky. Jim Hatfield, Gene Buckner and Bob Paul were returning lettermen who headed the squad. Nine sophomores showed promise of helping R' S I make the season a success. This year the Golf Team was G 0 scheduled to meet every team in the Inter Lake League thus eliminating the one day tournament. The champion was to be decided on a won and lost record. O 5 B.
