Career Courses Prepare Students tor Future Typewriters, sewing machines, triangles, sheaves of paper--these instruments were familiar to the Lincoln students who took business education home economics or industrial arts. The business education course included the learning of shorthand typing, bookkeeping and business law. These classes helped prepare students for future business careers. Through the home economics course, girls acquired a practical understanding of child care and guidance, finance and personal development, as well as the basic sewing and cooking instruction.
