JUDGE OTTO J. KRAEMER 1874 - 1951 Graduate of Portland High School 1892 Father of Lincoln graduates Kenneth and Richard Born on October 25, 1874, in Portland, Otto J. Kraemer had the pleasure until his death in 1951 of watching the city and its schools grow. In his youth, his family moved from their home where the Circle Theatre now stands to a house on Southwest Main Street, just half a block from the new Lincoln High School. In his youth he played fwhen permittedl on the Kamrn Estate and even ventured as far as the Chinese vegetable gardens where the athletic field and the Multnomah Stadium now are. He caught an occasional trout in the stream that ran down Canyon Road and through the Stadium. Mr. Kraemer later attended the old Portland High School, the University of Oregon Law School, at that time located in Portland, and after a few years on the bench, spent the remainder of his life practicing and teaching law. A contemporary of Miss Lillian Edna Amos and of the late Miss Emma Griebel who taught at Lincoln for many years, he was active in Portland High School alumni activities. This interest was increased when his sons Kenneth and Richard attended Lincoln in the middle 1930's.
