D 2 GBUS 9 Lincoln's Dads' Club materialized from a small active group of interested fathers, back in the late 1920's, who were primarily concerned with the limited athletic facilities of the old school on Park and Broadway. The first regular Dads'Club president selected by this early group was Mr. W. A. Robb, now retired, who is the father of five Lincoln grads: Eleanor, Bill, Sam, Hersey, and Tom. He is also the grandfather of recent and present Lincolnites Ted and Kathie Gerlinger. During Mr. Rohb's tenure the Dads' Club Service Awards were instituted, and the first bronze plaque purchased. From its original limited purpose, the Dads have enlarged their scope of interest to include the promotion of all types of school activities: scholastic, athletic, and social.
