The study ol modern periodicals in the English 6 classes has been undertaken as a project in progressive education. ln English 5 students have iound added interest in enacting short one-act plays and creating stage sets. Qutside read- ing is at all times encouraged, and many students have found the vvay to hours oi pleasure in the pursuance ol good literature. The Bi-Weekly Cardinal is a project oi the english department.
