dl The band, in a daily practice under Mr. HandzIik's able balon, awakens Lincoln's quiel halls. Music Department The orcheslra was, in lhe beginning, lhe only musical deparlmenl of Lincoln. Mr. Carl Denlon has been direclor of lhe orcheslra for many years. Aboul nine years ago, Mr. Waldemar l-lollensled slarled lhe glee clubs here: and four years ago, Mr. Leon L. l-landzlilc organized lhe band. Following Mr. l-lollensled's resignalion lasl ferm, lvlrs. Elhel Miller Bradley has lalcen over lhe glee clubs. There are al presenl over lhirly members in lhe orcheslra. Their reperloire consisfs of slandard overlures, semi-classical pieces, and seleclions from popular operas.
