As The Typing classes grew, The deparTmenT was enlarged To encompass TorTy machines. Mrs. LoTTie M. l-lyde and Mr. Arva Wann were recruiTed To conducT addi- Tional classes in bookkeeping and Typing. As The Typing classes grew. The deparTmenT was enlarged To encompass TorTy machines. Miss Pearson also insTalled a compleTe series of filing cabineTs conTaining reTerence maTerial for The sTudenTs. The deparTmenT has iTs honor sTudenTs. Each Term sTudenTs win awards Tor Typing accuraTely 30-60 words a minuTe. A number of shorThand sTudenTs have won awards Tor Taking 80-l2O words a minuTe on radio shorThand broadcasTs Trom Oregon STaTe College. A Typing Team Trom Lincoln placed Third in accuracy in a sTaTe conTesT aT O. S. C.
