With a stinging defensive squad and a more than adequme offensive team, the Bees bring in excellent statistics although they can not make the score. 63 The Bee squad did earn honors for individual efforts made by players. Although each loss wa$ deeply felt by each member of the team there was reason to be satisfied with the sincere desire to pose a challenge to the opposing team in each game played. How else can one be responsible for creatively preserving the memories of students on a few pages of a book and then expect them to appreciate the end result? All that I can ask is that you do appreciate the 1981 effort. The work that went into the 1981 production comes from many sources. Photographs were secured from The News, Lathanis Photographs, Watkins' Studio, Broussard's Photography and from a former student, Michael Miles. Mrs. Lathan was helpful as advisor and many other teachers in the English department as well as coaches and club sponsors were patient throughout our many picture-taking ventures this year. The journalism staff has many pleasant memories of our work together. All of the layouts, pica measurements, lost pictures and techni-croppers are stored until next year but the fun and friendships are forever. We leave the last few pages of the yearbook to simply reflect over the many Lincoln activities. For seniors this is a final reflection; for others simply a step in time. Whatever, these are moments that are lost forever except on the pages of the 1981 Bumblebee. 255
