SCHOOL NLVRSE WORKS TOWARD PRESERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF STYDENT HEALTH Under the guidance of Mrs. Ruby Welch, school nurse, students are given attention when illness strikes at school, first aid when injured, and are excluded from s'chool dur- ing communicable illness. Screening is done periodically for visian, hearing, height, and weight. Students are referred for corrections, when necessary, and follow-ups are made on referrals. MRS. The theme for this conference was iiNew Responsibilities in a Changing Society:7 Over 250 members from various sections of the state attended this meeting.
