J Varsity team displays depth At the season's start the varsity base- ball team appeared to be one of the best Lincoln has had. Experience showed at every position as many were held by last year's squad. First baseman Ken Riley felt that this year's team compared to last year's was considerably better. The overall depth in hitting had improved, and the pitching was far more consisten. They were a fundamentally sound team, and talent Iurked everywhere, said Coach Rodger Gray.
