S if ui 'ff we Ni-aol FRESHMEN September 10. l95T. marked a red-letter day for 152 new members of Lincoln High School, the Fresl1manw class. For the first few weeks, we Freshmen Were lost 'cbabes in the woods, keeping both eyes open for our tormentors-the upperclassmen. All this summed up by a situation remembered by all, INITIATION. But after a month or so of high school life we gradually resumed our place of being in the student body. Soon we began to realize our position was one of high standing, even though we were the Hlowestf' We would have the distinction of being the first class to complete the first four years at the new Lincoln High School. Freshmen were eager and willing participants: their school spirit was unequaled. Frosh were active in everything-sports, spirit, student organizations, and student council. ltis been estimated that of all the classes. the Freshmen lead the field in noise, cheering that is. So no matter what insinuations and comments are made about the Freshmen, when it comes to spirit, participation, and just plain common sense, 152 will shout out in hearty tones. 'GYea.
