Our Imaginations really went to work when we happened to miss doss. The common excuses such os o dentist appointment or a sudden flu attack often got us by. but some of us come up with real origlnols: I hod to push my bus to school; A sidewalk peddler stole oil of my pencils; I hod to go to my dentist's funerol. On those tore occasions when we just happened to hove o completed assign- ment In our possession, we often felt o loss from o lock of opportunity to use our expertise ot excuse making. Friday 2:05 The bell tings The weekend begins. For many people thot meant time for o party. As a matter of fact Lincoln students did have their shore of potties, particularly the senior doss. Togo parties, woods parties. Normondole parties ond the memorable masguetode party were some of the many. All of them showed the outgoing social spirit olwoys present with Lincoln students. Pottles were o hord-eorned. well deserved breok after a long week. They provided funny stories olong with expressing tho out of school personalities of students. Pony spots were hard to come by os the weather got colder. A ploce wos found most every weekend ond the party proceeded, usuolly ot the home o4 a Lincoln student. Weather permitting, a soclol gathering next to o big bon-fire filled the bill. When wormer weather was upon us. the Normondole parking lot. Oeovor Orook. ond backyards were the rorgets for weekend get together}. All provided good humor and fun throughout the school yeor. 10 WHAT'S UP?
